Three aerial vehicles and several ground units are working to extinguish a forest fire that broke out early this Saturday afternoon in Riba-roja de Túria (Valencia), in front of the Masía Traver urbanization.
As reported by the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat, the fire notice was received shortly before 2:30 p.m. and has forced the decree of situation 1 of the Special Forest Fire Plan (PEIF).
This emergency situation is declared when the foreseeable evolution of a fire can seriously affect forest assets and, where appropriate, slightly affect the population and non-forest assets.
At this time, three air resources are working in the area; three forest firefighting units, one of them helicarried; a crew from the Provincial Firefighters Consortium, a forestry brigade, a sergeant, a forestry coordinator and an environmental agent.
