A Catalan woman, the first woman in the world to marry an AI: “It is a mixture of previous relationships”

If we talk about the relationship between humans and artificial intelligences, surely some cinematographic reference comes to mind, be it Blade Runner and the replicants or the most recent HER.

These scenarios are no longer dystopian. The Catalan artist Alicia Framis will marry AiLeix, an artificial intelligence that she has been living with for months and that she is learning from the experience of her ex.

The wedding will be celebrated next summer in a ceremony in Rotterdam that will also be a performance that aims to reflect on the future of relationships.

In this way, Framis will become the first woman in the world to marry an artificial intelligence.

The action is part of an artistic project called The Hybrid Couple that will be presented in the Netherlands and will travel around the world.

However, the marriage will be legal, there will be a party where food suitable for both the real and digital world will be served. A house is also being created in Menorca that allows this hybrid couple to coexist.

All this, as Framis explains, with the aim of investigating the future of relationships. The artist and his team are also working on the possibility of acquiring the first Hologram insurance or the first mortgage.
