A 61-year-old woman drowned on Tuesday when she bathed in a public pool in Gualba (Barcelona), bringing the number of deaths in swimming pools this summer in Catalonia to three.

As reported by Civil Protection, the 112 emergency telephone number received at 12:10 a.m. a notice from a guard that an unconscious woman had been taken out of the water.

Once out of the water, they tried to revive the woman, but without success, despite the intervention of specialists from the Medical Emergency System (SEM), who dispatched two ambulances and a helicopter to the scene.
