The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 28-year-old man accused of committing a robbery and seriously injuring a person in a bar on Cardenal Remolins street in Lleida on July 7. According to the police, the detainee entered the establishment that day and ordered a drink, and taking advantage of the fact that the waiter left the bar to serve other customers, he opened the cash register to take the money.

However, the waiter caught him and tried to stop him, with the help of a customer who witnessed the events. During the struggle, the perpetrator of the robbery knocked the client to the ground and he suffered serious injuries to his leg.

Once the facts were reported, an investigation was opened, which allowed the alleged perpetrator to be identified and arrested this Wednesday morning, July 26, on a street in the capital of Segrià. He is accused of one crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, and injuries. The detainee has passed this Thursday at the judicial disposal in Lleida.
