Proof of this is that 80% of the managers surveyed in the first Business Pulse survey, carried out by KPMG and La Vanguardia, consider digitization a strategic priority.

In this process of digital transformation in which companies are immersed, managers prioritize process automation in their strategies, with the aim of improving efficiency and reducing costs, as well as improving interaction and communication through the different digital channels. experience of customers, suppliers, employees and stakeholders.

To make these goals a reality, and speed up the digitization process, most companies find it necessary to turn to external partners and collaborators. This is recognized by 86% of the managers that make up the Business Pulse panel. In this line, more than 60% rely on alliances with technology partners or specialized consultants, likewise, 56% also consider hubs, incubators or start-ups as possible partners.

In addition to having external collaborators, most companies consider it essential to have a clear and focused digital strategy for this transformation to be carried out successfully, as stated by 83% of the managers surveyed. It is also relevant to have digital leaders who manage to promote this transition (50%), followed by the execution of a precise plan, thus establishing specific objectives (47%).

The search for the profiles of the future, the great challenge

The speed with which the digital environment evolves and the new professional demands that it brings with it, implies for companies to focus on attracting and retaining talent. Thus, finding profiles that are increasingly specific, specialized and focused on new technologies that help meet the needs that this digital transition entails stands as a decisive challenge for companies. In this line, the profile most demanded by organizations in the coming years is the cybersecurity expert, as indicated by 82% of companies. Followed by data analysts, specialists in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (79%, in both cases) and, in third place, experts in cultural transformation and talent (71%).

Despite the challenges they face, the managers surveyed are confident that they are prepared to carry out their digital transformation. In fact, 70% of those surveyed consider that their professionals have the necessary digital skills and ensure, in turn, that they have the technological resources required for the digitization process to be successful. Therefore, companies conceive this digital transition as a clear opportunity for growth and resilience that, together with adequate talent management, will allow them to face future challenges and perpetuate the innovative momentum of companies.
