Another day of shooting. At least 15 people died, of which 14 would be children and a teacher, in the shooting at a primary school in Uvalde, a town 140 kilometers from San Antonio. As confirmed by the governor of Texas, the gunman, a 19-year-old man, has also died in the attack.

The first two deceased died upon arrival at the Uvalde hospital, as confirmed by the center itself. They took thirteen children to the emergency service and one adult to that same hospital, while a child and a 66-year-old woman were evacuated to the San Antonio hospital, who was in serious condition when they arrived at the center.

The school district had passed the active shooting alert for a while at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, a city of 16,000 people. The shooting, which comes just days after the racist massacre in Buffalo, New York, immediately sparked the nightmare of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, which left 28 dead (including the perpetrator and his mother) of which 20 were children, mostly seven years old.

A meeting point was designated for this operation. That was the previous step to determine the true dimension of this new sample of the armed epidemic that the United States suffers.
