If you have always liked cars, and you are of an age, you may shed a tear. No problem. It’s called homesickness. It was a time, the 80s and 90s, of incredible activity, with many changes in the market and a way of understanding the automobile that today would be almost a crime.
There were no hybrids, no SUVs, much less electric. It sounds a bit strange, but the brands developed models to enjoy behind the wheel, to drive them and fill their owners with satisfaction.
And they sported designs with a lot of personality, they were attractively recognizable and they didn’t look as similar to each other as they do today. Nor did aerodynamics or efficiency matter so much.
Obviously, the safety of these endearing cars, both active and passive, had nothing to do with current models. But that is another matter entirely. This is a selection of 10 cars that for different reasons were important in the Spanish market.
