Spain approves the first pre-constitutional Political Parties Law of the transition from dictatorship to democracy.
This Law would be replaced by the one approved on June 27, 2002 based on the draft Organic Law of Political Parties sent by the Council of Ministers of Spain to the Cortes Generales on April 19, 2002 after favorable reports from the General Council of Power Judicial and the Council of State.
