Being an actor is not easy, and if not, tell Adam Jezierski. A few months ago, the performer who gave life to Gorka Martínez in the legendary Physics or Chemistry suffered an accident in the middle of a play, leading to fear for his life.

“I was in the theater, I went on stage and I thought I was basically going to die,” the actor, who has suffered from anxiety since then, begins by revealing: “I was missing the air, the ambulance came, the performance stopped and I said ‘I’m dying.’ ‘”.

The interpreter has revealed the hardest episode of his career to the television program Socialité. In the middle of Billy Elliot’s play, Adam fell to the ground before the attentive gaze of the audience, living a nightmare.

“They looked at my heart, they looked at my head… and it was anxiety,” confesses the actor. A problem that arose in his personal life could be the cause of this disorder: “Something that had happened 8/9 months ago in my life resonated with me. When everything was fine and calm, my head exploded,” says Adam.

This problem has been especially complicated for the actor, given the lack of sensitivity to this disorder: “When you hear someone say that they have anxiety, it is trivialized and it is not a state of nervousness, it is a 6 kg medicine ball in the chest that prevents you from breathe”.

Luckily, Jezierski has managed to find a way to combat this ailment in his daily life: “With anxiety you learn to live in some way (…) Work is cool, it is my passion, but for me the first thing is my life , to be happy. I don’t live to work, I work to live” he says forcefully.
