The youngest of the brothers from El Celler de Can Roca has started a campaign with BBVA aimed at providing ideas against food waste, a practice that increases during these holidays. The initiative consists of a series of videos in which Jordi Roca stars together with his nephews Marc (son of Joan, the eldest of the brothers) and Martí (son of Josep), in which they prepare various recipes to cook at home and give a second taste. life to the leftovers that have been left these days with the intention that they do not end up in the garbage can.

The series of recipes is titled ‘The refrigerator half full’ and according to the owner of El Celler, as he likes to describe himself, “the idea is to see the refrigerator, even if it is half empty, always full of sustainable possibilities.” Among the simple preparations that Jordi and his nephews prepare, in a casual and complicit tone, there are dishes that are very easy to make such as “the crochet tortilla”, the chicken bikinis”, the “chickpea hummus from an endless tupperware” or the Mex pizza, made with leftover nachos from a Mexican party.

The videos will be disseminated through different social networks of BBVA and El Celler de Can Roca and a series of influencers committed to the fight against waste will also collaborate to give them visibility, which according to the UN leads each person to waste an average of 74 kilos of food per year.
