Operación Triunfo is one of the most successful television formats in our country. The musical program was born by Televisión Española in 2001 and gave us great artists such as Rosa López, David Bustamante, David Bisbal, Chenoa and Gisela.
After a few editions, the space moved to Telecinco, a network in which it did not have as much impact and in which it was finally canceled in 2011. In 2017, after a break of almost six years, OT returned stronger than never to the public channel and lasted for several years.
A little over a month ago, we witnessed a historic event: OT was returning, but this time it was going to be broadcast on a payment platform, Amazon Prime Video. Despite the initial criticism and all those haters who predicted an absolute failure of the format by not being broadcast openly, the reality show is working very well, especially on social networks and platforms such as X (previously known as Twitter), Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
Due to the success of the format, some of the contestants who have gone through the most famous academy on television are speaking and giving their opinion about the new participants and their path on television. This is the case of Vega, one of the most controversial candidates in the history of the program.
It is known to all that Vega has always fought against the ‘triumphant’ label and that he worked very hard to make independent music and be able to make a living from his songs and concerts.
In an interview for the Hora 25 program on Cadena SER, the singer of Mejor morrow, donde donde fues tú or Sobrevivir has given her opinion on the singing contest: ”It has already rained a lot in the wet and you will realize that it is a way to start like anyone else (…) They have to fight against an excessive offer (…) Making a career singing other people’s songs is karaoke. This is so”.
The interpreter explained in the interview that it is very important for each of the contestants to embark on writing, that it is a very hard process that they must face individually and that they must be very careful not to sign any co-authorship.
Finally, Vega has made it clear that the most important thing is that the contestants have their feet on the ground because everything they are singing in the program are songs that have already been tested, that is, they already have fans and relevant success. which does not assure them the subsequent triumph of their own themes.
