Àngel Llàcer has suffered a major setback to his health in recent hours. The presenter and comedian reported this Tuesday on El matí de Catalunya Ràdio that he had been admitted to the Ruber Clinic in Madrid. The reason for this hospitalization was a serious infection, caused by shigella bacterial poisoning, that he suffered during his vacation in Vietnam last February.

“I started to feel bad and they admitted me. I’ve had a very bad time. The doctors didn’t know what she had. I have had stomach pain, I was pooping bloody and I was getting more and more feverish. They were very worried. They have given me three antibiotics and I have to stay in the hospital for a week,” he expressed along with Ricard Ustrell. This situation directly affects one of the programs in which he participates: Your face sounds familiar to me.

The Antena 3 musical imitation contest has had to look for a substitute for its next programs, since the recording of these takes place precisely on Tuesdays and the Catalan will also miss the next installment. Gestmusic has not taken long to find the figure who will be in charge of occupying her role: Sílvia Abril, comedian and well-known television presenter, who was already a contestant in the fourth season.

“I got poisoning and they gave me antibiotics for five days, but the bacteria stayed. On Tuesdays I record Your face sounds familiar to me and today I haven’t gone, so I won’t go for two weeks,” explained the judge of the format in his radio interview. For her part, Abril will be on the other side of the stage for the first time since her debut, where she finished in seventh position. She was also a recurring guest on several specials, such as the New Year’s concert in 2019.

The Mataró native recently explained that she felt at her best. “It’s what makes me happiest. I am very happy, because I am working on two wonderful projects that are giving me a lot of satisfaction and joy. Finally, women at this age are ceasing to be invisible, although there are many who are still having a hard time. But things are starting to change little by little,” she commented in an interview for La Voz de Galicia.

“I embrace the passage of time, bless it and say: ‘How wonderful to be here and working on this thing that makes me so happy!’ And when they stop calling me, I will lead projects from behind, and I will also be very happy and feel very grateful. Blessed passage of time, I really tell you from my heart, feeling alive. The only thing I ask is to be healthy, not to lose my mind,” she insisted.
