The death of Francisco Arévalo, one of the most remembered comedians on the Spanish television and artistic scene, has greatly shaken this start to 2024. The man who rose to fame with his appearances in Un, dos, tres… responda otra vez was found without life for his son during the afternoon of yesterday, Wednesday, at his home in Valencia. He was 76 years old. Since then, many personalities have sent a farewell message.
One of them has been Bárbara Rey. The actress was a close friend of the comedian for many years, and she wanted to remember him with a letter that she shared through her social networks. Remembering one of her last contacts, a recent video call they made, Rey writes a heartfelt tribute in which she remembers all the aspects and conversations of her, with which she will stay for many years after what has happened.
“Dear friend Paco, I can’t believe you’re no longer here. Just a few days ago we were talking, you were happy happy. We made a video call and talked for a while and also with your beautiful daughter. One of the first things I did when I woke up was to say good morning like you did to me. “You have been an extraordinary being, a great person with an immense heart,” she began, before praising his qualities on stage.
“As an artist what I am going to say about you, great and as an even greater colleague, I am going to miss you a lot, our conversations, those good mornings and good nights and so many memories and experiences that we have shared. You have always been an extraordinary being to me, I will be eternally grateful for your loyalty and your big heart. Mine is broken with your departure,” added the actress, very hurt by the sudden loss of her.
“I know that you are going to have the best place that exists wherever you are, because it is what you deserve and what you have earned with your great kindness. Rest in peace friend and may God take you in his bosom. “R.I.P.,” the message concluded. Bárbara Rey has not been the only one to send a heartfelt farewell to one of the comedians who have marked humor in Spain. Her ex-partner, Malena Gracia, also wrote her feelings in a letter through Instagram.
“Honey, I’m going to miss you. You left me a big void. Today all of us who loved you mourn you. Despite our differences in this last stage, I always loved you and will love you. R.I.P.,” she wrote. Both were protagonists of a high-profile relationship in the media, which only lasted 8 months, between January and August 2021. Even so, both claimed to be on good terms after what happened, although their opinions often differed.
