Today, in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos, we are located in one of the highest parts of the town of Sant Celoni, in the Vallès Oriental, from where you can easily see meteorological phenomena, such as these clouds that seem painted in heaven.

These are beautiful lenticulars. Clouds that, thanks to the wind that blows today, have allowed them to be molded, creating fantasy shapes.

So this is meteorology. One day when we had the sky covered by shapeless clouds and drizzle, suddenly and without warning, these beautiful lenticulars began to appear.

Lenticular clouds are called that because they are shaped like a lentil, as their name indicates, or there are also those who see them as a saucer or converging lens.

They are stationary and form mainly at high altitudes in mountainous areas and isolated from other clouds. Among mountaineers these clouds are considered a harbinger of a storm.
