The first semi-final of the Benidorm Fest 2024 has concluded, and with it, the names of the four artists who advance to the long-awaited final of the musical contest, pre-selection for Eurovision 2024, have been revealed. In a night full of emotions and memorable performances, the Palacio de Deportes L’Illa in Benidorm became the epicenter of the competition, where 8 of the 16 participants faced each other with the desire to secure their place in the grand final next Saturday, February 3 at 10:15 p.m. on TVE .

Angy Fernández, Lérica, Mantra, Miss Caffeina, Nebulossa, Noan, Quique Niza and Sofía Coll were the eight artists who stood out in the first semifinal, each one giving their talent and passion on stage with the hope of representing Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. This select group of participants brought the show to life with a variety of musical styles that left a strong impression on the audience.

Only four of these outstanding artists managed to qualify for the grand final, marking a crucial step in their quest for the coveted bronze microphone and the honor of representing Spain at the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled for May in Malmö. With a mixed voting system that includes the verdict of a professional jury, televoting and the demoscopic jury, the competition now intensifies, and the uncertainty over who will emerge as the winner remains in the air.

The first semi-final of the Benidorm Fest 2024 culminated in a unanimous verdict from the different voting systems, consolidating Nebulossa, Angy Fernández, Sofía Coll and Miss Caffeina as the first finalists of the prestigious musical competition. The fusion of jury decisions, demoscopic voting and public participation through televoting resulted in a balanced selection that reflects the diversity of styles and artistic quality.

Individual Scores:

Contrary to expectations, televoting, despite awarding the highest score to Mantra, failed to secure its place in the Benidorm Fest final. On the other hand, the demoscopic vote supported the election of the professional jury, consolidating the artistic quality of the four classifieds.

Nebulossa, with her powerful performance of ‘Zorra’, closed the evening in spectacular fashion, consolidating herself as the most voted option. Angy Fernández, with “I know who I am”, shared an emotional personal duality, while Sofía Coll dazzled with “HERE TO STAY”, fusing her artistic versatility with an impressive acrobatic performance. Miss Caffeina, with her energetic “Blah, Blah, Blah,” once again demonstrated her stage command and her connection with the audience.

Although the first semi-final of the Benidorm Fest 2024 offered moments, criticism was not absent. Social networks became a space where the audience expressed their divided opinions on the performances, highlighting aspects such as the rhythm, the connection between presenters and the execution of some proposals.

While the debate persists around the quality of the show, attention now focuses on the four artists who have passed this first filter and will face each other in the grand finale, where the intensity and competition will reach their climax.
