The workers of Artigas Alimentaria of Cornellà del Terri wn in Pla de l’Estany (Girona) gathered this Friday morning in front of the Palace of Justice against the liquidation of the company that the Commercial Court of Girona has ruled.
The UGT union will present an appeal against the decision because it believes that it “does not hold up”, since the offer from a buyer of the company has been rejected.
The first secretary of the union in Girona, Maxi Rica, assures that the purchasing company is “solvent” because it has other factories throughout the State and presented a project with a turnover of 60 million euros in the first year of operation of the factory under the new management.
The union member recalled that they had agreed to keep 75 workers active.
