The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to try to clarify the death of an elderly man whose lifeless body was found this Monday on an avenue in Roquetas de Mar (Almería) next to a large pool of blood.
As police sources have confirmed to La Voz de Almería, the warning came at 5:45 a.m. this Monday, warning that there was a man bleeding to death on José Amat Benavides Avenue.
From the Emergency coordination center they have mobilized members of the Civil Guard, Local Police and 061 paramedics, who have been unable to do more than certify the man’s death.
Sources from the Civil Guard have indicated to Europa Press that, according to the preliminary data of the investigation, the body did not present external signs of violence that could derive from a violent crime. Likewise, other sources close to the case have indicated that the body would have suffered a decapitation that, according to initial investigations, could have been self-inflicted.
Other sources, according to information from La Voz de Almería, have indicated that the crime could be motivated by a settling of scores, which is why the judicial protocol has been activated and what happened is already being investigated.
