Ponts, in La Noguera (Lleida) celebrated this Tuesday a new edition of the traditional Fiesta del Rancho coinciding with Carnival Tuesday.
The celebration brings together hundreds of neighbors and people from all over with pots and lunch boxes every year on Font de Valldans Avenue to take home a good portion of this popular winter food.
The dish is cooked throughout the morning in 59 boilers from which between 10,000 and 12,000 portions come out. Among the ingredients used, there are chicken, hen, black sausage, beans, chickpeas, potatoes, cabbage and pasta.
At the party, some forty farmers delivered a manifesto in favor of the primary sector to the president of the Parliament, Anna Erra, who, for her part, highlighted the essential role of agriculture.
