A 58-year-old man died this Tuesday after a beam fell on him during the demolition of an industrial warehouse in the Madrid town of San Fernando de Henares where he was working.

As reported by Emergencies 112 of the Community of Madrid, the work accident took place around 11:20 a.m. at a construction site located on Sierra de Gata street, when a group of workers were cutting the aforementioned beam.

For reasons being investigated by the National Police, it fell on the victim and the impact caused severe head trauma.

He has also gone into cardiorespiratory arrest, so the agents of the San Fernando Local Police, the first to arrive at the scene, have tried to revive him.

The Summa 112 paramedics continued the maneuvers, but shortly after they certified his death.
