Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will officially be The Fantastic Four in the new Marvel Studios film, the studio reported this Wednesday through its Instagram account.

The news was distributed as if it were a Valentine’s card showing the first four characters from that Marvel story created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961, celebrating the day of love and friendship with a vintage aesthetic.

The announcement anticipates that the film will be released on July 25, 2025, the year in which films such as Captain America: Brave New World, scheduled for February, and Blade, in November, will also hit the big screen.

Pascal will play Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic; Kirby will play Sue Storm, who is the Invisible Woman; Quinn will play Johnny Storm, Human Torch, while Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm, The Thing.

Plot details are unknown, but in the original comics the Fantastic Four are astronauts who become superheroes after being exposed to cosmic rays in space.

Pascal’s character is a scientific genius who develops the ability to stretch his body to incredible lengths and shapes, Sue Storm can turn invisible and project force fields, Johny Storm can fly and generate flames, while Ben Grimm’s grumpy possesses a superhuman strength and endurance.

Matt Shakman, director of series such as Wandavision and Game of Thrones, will direct the film, whose script was co-written by Josh Friedman (Avatar: The Way of Water), Jeff Kaplan (Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship) and Ian Springer (The Last of the Great Romantics).
