Three men and three women between 23 and 43 years old have been arrested for allegedly selling cocaine in Elx through a chat room called ‘telecoca’ that was very successful as it was frequently promoted with slogans such as “bomb price” or “offer weekend special.”

According to the National Police, these “campaigns” attracted more consumers because they provided the drug at a lower market price than competitors, which made it easier for them to sell more drugs in a shorter period of time.

The detainees are of Spanish, Romanian and Algerian nationality, and the three men have been sent to prison after being brought to justice for an alleged crime of drug trafficking, membership in a criminal group and electricity fraud, while the three women have released with charges.

After the search of six homes in Elx and Aspe, more than 1,780 grams of cocaine, around 35,000 euros in cash, as well as an electric immobilizer (taser) and two simulated compressed air firearms were seized, one of which simulated a submachine gun. UZI.

Once they received the orders through the chat, they prepared the substance and delivered it, traveling normally on a motorcycle, according to the Police, who have indicated that in one of the homes in Aspe there was an indoor marijuana cultivation.

In addition to cocaine, 47 flowering marijuana plants, 10 kilograms of buds prepared for distribution, and also four high-end cars and two motorcycles used for the transportation and distribution of narcotics have been seized.

The investigation has been carried out by agents from the Narcotics Group of the National Police Station in Elx and the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), specialists in this type of entries belonging to the Citizen Security Brigade of the same police station.
