Few recipes in the world can make you look so good, with so few ingredients and in such a short time as this salmon. It’s perfect for when you have guests over because you don’t have to slave away in the kitchen. You put it in the oven as soon as they arrive and before they finish the first glass of wine, dinner is served!

In addition, you can accompany it with rice and sautéed vegetables, some fresh pasta with chives or with creamed spinach and a delicious mashed potato and sweet potato, as we did at home. You can try to make it with other fish (although it is not as delicious), but at an approximate cost of 2.50-3.00 euros per portion (without companions), it is well worth it.

For 4-5 people

>1 salmon loin (500 grams)

>1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)

>1 tablespoon orange peel zest (about one orange)

>2 teaspoons of olive oil

>1 pinch of white pepper

Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

In a bowl, place the soy sauce, olive oil, orange zest and pepper. Mix well with a whisk.

Place the salmon in the bowl and move it around so that it is covered on all sides.

If you prefer, you can leave it marinating in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.

Place it on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

Let cool for about five minutes before serving. Don’t forget to add a little of the juices that will remain at the bottom of the tray on top.

You can mix the leftovers with a little mayonnaise or yogurt to make a spreadable crepita. Or add them directly to rice with sautéed vegetables.

The touch: a teaspoon of brown sugar or a pinch of fresh grated ginger to the mixture of oil, soy and orange zest.
