The Minister of Territory, Ester Capella, visited this Friday the flats that Incasol has acquired from Sareb in La Pobla de Segur, in Pallars Jussà (Lleida).
There are 48 homes distributed in two blocks. These apartments, according to the Ministry, are in very good condition and only minimal renovations will be necessary due to humidity in which around 300,000 euros will be invested. This month of May, tenants will be able to move in.
The purchase has involved an investment of more than 3 million euros. Only 36 will be put on the rental market, since 12 are already occupied and those who live in them will maintain their homes with the current conditions.
In Camprodon (Girona) Territory has acquired a total of 11 homes (1.3 million euros) that are part of a multi-family building with 35 floors and 5 commercial premises.
The mayor of La Pobla de Segur, Marc Baró, has been “very happy” about this purchase of homes and has said that it will allow families or young people who wanted to settle in the town, but it was impossible due to the lack of homes. for rent.
The councilor has stated that the transfer of these homes should be made free of charge to those governments that have the “vocation and will” to put them on the rental market at affordable prices, as is the case of the Generalitat. Capella has taken the opportunity to once again send this request to the Ministry of Housing.
These purchases are part of the program for acquiring homes from large owners that the Department of Territory has launched with the aim of growing the social rental stock in Catalonia.
With these new developments, there are now 252 homes that the Government, through Incasòl, has purchased from large owners, with a global investment of 28.3 million (€18.6 million for acquisition and €9.7 million for works rehabilitation and adaptation).
