On February 15, the Mossos d’Esquadra arrested the driver of a car that had an accident and refused to take a breathalyzer and drug test. In addition, the 42-year-old man attacked the officers who came to help him after the accident.

The events occurred around three in the afternoon on the C-66 highway near Palol de Revardit (Pla de l’Estany), when the car the man was driving collided with a road barrier.

After the impact, the driver continued his march, weaving along the road until he finally stopped. When the officers arrived at the scene of the accident, they were able to verify that the man did not have a driving license. The man had recently had his driving license revoked.

Furthermore, the driver refused to take alcohol and drug tests and hit the officers, who ended up arresting him. Once detained, the man continued kicking the officers.

The man, who has a criminal record, is charged with crimes against traffic safety for driving with a judicially suspended driving license and refusing to take alcohol and drug tests. He is also being investigated for attacking law enforcement officers, resistance and disobedience.
