This past weekend, the Hispanic-Georgian player Ilia Topuria was proclaimed UFC world champion in the featherweight category. The 27-year-old, known as El Matador, knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the second round of this fight that took place in California.
Although Topuria wears the typical underwear to practice this sport, outside the ring he transforms with his impeccable looks from Absolute Bespoke, the Spanish tailoring company that currently dresses many of the most powerful men in the world and renowned footballers such as Thibaut Courtois or Fernando Torres and tennis players like Novak Djokovic.
This brand was created more than a decade ago by Tomás Laso-Argos, who did not hesitate to travel to California with Topuria to support his friend and help dress him in his custom-made suits. In fact, Absolute Bespoke’s modus operandi is to create a unique pattern that adapts exclusively to the body of its clients, thus obtaining garments that fit like a glove and stylize the figure. As you can see on their Instagram, the jackets and pants are perfectly combined with shirts, sweaters or polos. Also for an even more elegant touch, they are combined with custom-made vests.
“Since 2010 we have been traveling the world, adapting and growing along with the unique people we met along the way,” the brand notes on its website. Thanks to word of mouth, Tomás Laso-Argos managed to grow his project not only in Spain, but also in cities such as London, New York, Los Angeles and Bangkok.
“Absolute Bespoke is not just a fashion brand, it is the sum of all the trips and people with whom we have shared experiences,” says its manager, who points out that all the suits made by the firm are made to measure and the number of projects per year is limited.
