The Federation of Hospitality Business Associations of Tarragona (AEHT) has created the Wine Council to promote the wines of the eight denominations of origin in the territory among the 800 restaurants and 130 hotels of the entity.
The AEHT has announced it six months after creating the wine vice presidency with the oenologist Vicenç Ferré at the helm. Among the first actions, the hospitality industry’s commitment to include in its letters a “welcome” in which the consumer is informed that they are in the region with the most designations of origin in the Spanish State stands out.
“We have to take advantage of this,” defended Ferré, who added that a competition for the best wine list will also be created “to create a commitment” among the sector.
