CE Mataró has suddenly fired the club’s janitor, after he opened the door to the visiting locker room at the end of the match between the women’s youth team and UD Cereza, another team from the city. Those affected have explained that the man had entered the locker room.

According to CE Mataró’s story, at the time of the incident there were still players finishing showering and changing. The club condemns the behavior of the former employee and has apologized to UD Cereza. “We can’t allow it.” The incident happened on February 3 and there are already up to five complaints filed with the Mossos d’Esquadra, who have already sent the report to the Courts.

The former CE Mataró janitor would have given a slightly different version of the events, according to the explanations of the same club: “He says he knocked on the door and opened it to check the locker room before being able to close it.” The man also admitted that when he opened the door he saw a girl drying herself with a towel.

Those affected, however, would have reported that no one came and that the janitor not only opened the door, but also went inside. “Regardless of what happens, the janitor cannot open the door,” they say from the club. The CE Mataró board explains that the worker should have asked those responsible for the UD Cereza if everyone was outside before entering.
