The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, announced this Sunday that the Generalitat’s Budget for 2024 will allocate “for the first time in history” more than 1,000 million euros to research, development and innovation (I D i).

Aragonès has stated that this item in the accounts demonstrates “this Government’s commitment to a reindustrialization of the country based on growth” and that its executive knows how to prioritize its resources.

The mayor of Barcelona, ??Jaume Collboni, has claimed for his part that Barcelona “has returned to compete” in this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) and has defended that technology is at the service of society.

Meanwhile, Minister Escrivà has called for an in-depth debate on the areas that they want to “reserve to humans” in the face of the evolution of artificial intelligence (AI).

He has stressed the need for “a great consensus” in which all social agents, civil society and public administrations participate.
