The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 40-year-old man with 1.45 kilos of cocaine valued at 87,000 euros. The arrest is the result of an investigation opened following a series of information that indicated that a resident of Lleida was selling cocaine to people who would ultimately resell the drug to the final consumer.

The man had a parking space in a building located on Jaime II Avenue and according to the police, inside a parked car was where he kept the drugs and utensils to prepare sales.

The arrest was made on Thursday as part of a discreet device inside the community parking lot to catch the suspect while he was selling drugs.

When the police received information that pointed to drug sales in this part of the city, they began to monitor and monitor the detainee, who had already been arrested years ago for a crime against public health.

On Thursday, a discreet device was prepared inside the parking lot pending the suspect’s activity. Around one in the afternoon, the agents saw that the man arrived at the scene and, after checking the surroundings, opened the gate of a ventilation hole that was above his vehicle. After inserting his arm, he took out a plastic taper that he left on the car. At that moment, the agents surprised him.

In the container there were bags of cocaine, a precision scale, utensils to handle it and medications used to cut it. When checking the ventilation hole, the agents located another bag with rock cocaine items and another scale. Specifically, three pieces of 560, 440 and 223 grams of drugs were seized.

Given the facts, the agents arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. In total, 1.42 kilos of cocaine have been seized with an approximate value of 87,000 euros.

The detainee, with a criminal record, was brought before the Lleida investigative court on duty on Saturday.
