The triple trapeze that the Chileans The Flying González used yesterday for the third time in history was built expressly in Girona for the twelfth edition of the International Circ Festival. And it was worth it, because the company made up of 11 agile people (those in the photo) plus the three porters won the Dalinian Elefant d’Or last night, the first prize at this benchmark festival in Europe.
On a dreamy night, the line of Chilean artists, owners of the Pan-American Circus, also took the audience prize and broke the record for trapeze artists in action.

And the Elefants de Bronze went to the diabolo of the Russian Aleksey Teslin, the aerial perch of the Argentinians Duo Soma, and the aerial wings of the Ukrainian Daria Humeniuk, a gymnastics discipline, rarely seen on a circus ring.
On this occasion, since last Thursday, the International Circ Festival has brought together 28,631 spectators, coming from various parts of Europe, in the tent brought from England and set up in the Camp de Mart.
The Critics’ Award went to the acrobatic skates of the Ukrainian Duo Stardust. The one in the Image went to Duo Soul, deserving of a Silver Elephant. And the special prize went to Natalia Jigalova, from Kazakhstan, with her aerial ribbons and her bow.
