The National Police have arrested thirteen people in San Vicente del Raspeig, province of Alicante, in an operation against human trafficking for sexual exploitation. In turn, members of the Police have freed eleven women, two of them minors, who were being prostituted in two chalets in the town.

The notice was given by one of the two minors involved, who reported the case after telling the agents that she had been captured by people who kept her locked up and sexually exploited, according to sources close to the investigation.

The investigators verified the “clear” distribution of functions performed by each of the members of the organization, whose alleged ‘leader’ was a woman who “kept everything under her absolute control,” police sources reported in a statement on Monday.

The investigation, which lasted a year, has revealed that the suspects recruited vulnerable women abroad and, after their arrival in Spain, transferred them to different homes where they were detained and kept under control using video surveillance cameras. . They were also controlled by the so-called ‘charges’, who watched over them while they lived in overcrowded conditions and were sexually exploited.

Furthermore, if the clients requested it, the members of the criminal organization also transported the sexually exploited women to the place where they were indicated as a “home delivery service,” the aforementioned sources explained.

The agents searched two chalets used by the gang as brothels, where their members held and exploited victims. In both searches, the police seized narcotic substances that were administered to clients upon request, such as cocaine, ‘tusi’ (pink cocaine), ketamine, methamphetamines and ecstasy. In addition, they had medications for erectile dysfunction. 2,555 euros in cash and a credit card machine were also seized.

The eleven women released are of different nationalities and the thirteen detainees are accused of belonging to a criminal organization, human trafficking, prostitution of minors, drug trafficking, money laundering and document falsification.

Those arrested, between 21 and 60 years old, of Colombian and Spanish nationalities, have been placed at the disposal of the judge on duty in San Vicente del Raspeig.
