Yesterday, the contents of the new edition of the Fòrum Gastronòmic Girona, number ten, were presented in Girona, which will be held from March 11 to 13 at the Palau de Fires and in the Devesa area, and which will feature more than 150 speakers and 160 exhibitors in its fair section.
The flavors of the sea and the mountains will be the focus of an edition in which some of the most relevant topics will revolve around the adaptation of cuisine to climate change, game meats, especially wild boar, or bread, and in which the theme of fifth-range products will also be discussed, a hundred activities will be held (from tastings to debates, workshops or presentations) and there will be competitions.
Among the speakers, from the Roca brothers to Ferran Adrià, Fina Puigdevall and Martina Puigvert Puigdevall (Les Cols, in Olot), Paco Pérez (Miramar, in Llançà), Eduard Xatruc (one of the partners of Barcelona’s Disfrutar) or Anna Bellsolà ( Bastion).
The presentation of this consolidated competition included the interventions of Miquel Noguer, president of the Provincial Council of Girona, Gemma Geis, vice mayor, first deputy mayor and councilor for Economic Promotion of the Girona City Council, Elisabeth Sánchez, director of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat in Girona and Salvador Garcia Arbós, content director of the Girona Gastronomic Forum.
