The Blanes Local Police have arrested a 19-year-old young man for breaking into eight cars the same night and, after that, running away from the scene.
The events occurred on Sunday the 21st around 7:30 a.m. on the esplanade of the old pavilion. The alarm in one of the vehicles alerted a neighbor who, upon seeing the young man rummaging around inside, immediately called the Blanes Local Police who went to the scene.
The neighbor specified that it was a boy dressed in a black hooded sweater. The agents arrived at the area and, upon seeing them, the young man tried to run away to avoid being caught, but the agents ended up catching and detaining him.
Later, the police verified that, apart from the car they were removing, there were seven others that also had damage.
The suspect initially assured the Blanes Local Police that he was a minor, but after carrying out the relevant checks, they learned that he was a 19-year-old boy. In addition, the agents learned that the arrested person is responsible for seven more serious robberies, in this case in the town of Sils.
The young man was guarded by the Mossos, before being brought to justice.
