Near the town of Folgueroles, in the region of Osona, we can find this fantastic set of stones that I photographed for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

The landscape of this area of ??Catalonia has been shaped over millions of years. The karst relief is the protagonist of this itinerary through this area of ??Osona where we find caves and curious formations such as this stone mushroom.

These eroded forms with the appearance of stone mushrooms are found at the lowest point of the valley of the Guilleries-Savassona Natural Area, where the Tavèrnoles stream flows.

It is in this area where we find the so-called Gresos de Folgueroles. The erosion of stone has basically occurred from the action of water and gravity. As a result we have these geological forms known as stone mushrooms.

An attractive itinerary takes us to walk towards the Salt de la Minyona viewpoint, where we can see the geological forms of the mushroom and the labyrinth.

This route from Folgueroles will also allow us to observe all the geology of the Guilleries-Savassona Natural Area from the Salt de la Minyona Lookout.
