The week will be colder than normal, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). It will rain more than usual in the western third of the peninsula, the northeast and the Balearic Islands. On the other hand, in the Canary Islands, it will be warmer and drier than normal, the agency details on its social networks.
The cold atmosphere and the rains will be concentrated in the first days of the week, continues the Aemet. As the days progress, he predicts, temperatures will progressively rise and rains will be limited to the northern third.
Temperatures and precipitation would give way to a more stable and warm climate: “With the logical uncertainties, it is likely that next week will be warmer and drier than normal in almost the entire country.”
For now, unstable weather is expected for this Monday in the eastern half of the country, with cloudy or overcast skies, rainfall and an occasional storm that will be locally strong in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
In the rest of the peninsula, generally cloudy intervals are expected, clearer skies in the southwest, and some daytime cloudiness, with the possibility of some weaker showers.
The snow level on the peninsula will be between 1,500 and 1,700 meters in the northwest, between 1,700 and 1,900 meters in the northeast, and around 2,000 meters in the rest, Aemet states in its forecast.
Maximum temperatures will increase in the western half of the peninsula and decrease in the eastern third. In Huelva or Seville, they will not exceed 24 degrees. The minimums will decrease in areas of the southeast and in Galicia. On the other hand, they will tend to increase in the northeast quadrant, although they will not exceed 20 degrees in many areas.
