“I wrapped the incense in an increasingly addictive coconut mist, and I chose Grasse jasmine so that the composition would be warmer and more solar,” explains Dora Baghriche, one of the four noses who have created Fame Intense, a new version more vibrant, with creamy and balsamic facets, of Rabanne’s success. “Bold, solar and feminine,” Alberto Morillas describes it. It is not easy to work on a perfume with four hands, avoiding egos and combining audacity. We decipher its keys.
How did you collaborate to create the fragrance?
Alberto Morillas: The initial idea for Fame was Dora’s, but we worked in symbiosis and followed that line for the new version. At each stage, everyone makes their proposal, and then we start with the formula selected by the Rabanne team. Thus, there is harmony and at the same time a personal search that allows us to go further, challenge ourselves to achieve a creation with an uncommon intensity. We move forward without ego and enjoying ourselves a lot, and that shows in the perfume.
Where did the inspiration come from?
Dora Baghriche: My desire was to embody absolute luxury. The main idea was to explore sensuality, intensifying the resinous woody characteristic. The great challenge of this new olfactory chapter was to provide a golden identity to Fame, using exceptionally enveloping, balsamic and warm raw materials.
What stands out about its ingredients?
Fabrice Pellegrin: We worked with a trio of incenses selected for their unique qualities and addictive texture: the fresh burst of SFE incense, the depth of molecular distillation, and the dark, oriental character of the incense essence. We wrapped them with two exceptional solar flowers: microliquid solar jasmine, obtained with a new and revolutionary solvent-free extraction technique, and ylang-ylang essential oil, which reinforces the solar dimension with its exuberant and exotic facets.
What is the difference between Fame intense and the first two perfumes in the range?
Marie Salamagne: There is a common olfactory thread, creamy incense. Fame was composed around a fruity and floral Chypre structure, with a delicious mango note; Fame Parfum gives off a richer, woodier and more mineral sensuality than the previous one, driven by a powerful trail of musk that reinforces the minerality of the incense. Fame Intense is reinterpreted through a golden patina. Woody, floral and spicy, it wraps a trio of incenses in very rich and addictive notes of coconut and sandalwood and is illuminated with solar jasmine.
How does the new fragrance fit with today’s woman?
Dora Baghriche: Perfectly, because it celebrates her empowerment, versatility, confidence, individuality and her desire for luxury and glamour. I see the Rabanne woman as a modern warrior, dressed in a gold metallic costume; She can dare anything, and even more in this intense version.
Marie Salamagne: It’s a reminder that you can enjoy the good things in life without hesitation.
