This Monday, May 6, a new week began on the most romantic program on television, First Dates. The doors of Cuatro’s restaurant opened one more night to welcome a new batch of diners ready to spend an unforgettable evening and meet their better half. Although not all singles who appear on the program manage to find someone interesting.
However, there are times when totally unexpected crushes occur. Something that Juanita and Ignacio experienced firsthand. The 81-year-old Catalan single woman arrived at the restaurant stating that “she wouldn’t give a kiss of love to just anyone.” She considered herself a very positive person and fond of singing and dancing. She wanted to meet a positive, educated person with the same hobbies.
His date was Ignacio, an 85-year-old Catalan single who was returning to Cuatro’s space after having a disastrous date a few months ago. ”What a beautiful thing,” the bachelor said when he saw Juanita. But what the Catalan did not expect was that his date would recognize him. ”Have you come here to this program? I’ve seen you, it seems to me that you’ve come here more than once,” Juanita confessed. ”Not more than one, just one,” he replied.
”Do you know why you remember him? Because you liked him,’ Matías Roure told them. ”It may be because of the way he acts and speaks,” she answered. ”As soon as I saw her I fell in love with her,” Ignacio confessed. After exchanging their first words, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about their ages. ”I cheat a lot, I’m 81,” she revealed. ”I saw a doll, very pretty,” commented the bachelor.
Moments later, Juanita confessed that she needed to find a man just as active as her. To the joy of the single woman, Ignacio considered himself very active and a great dancer. ”I see myself with him because he seems very polite, attentive and I have noticed that he likes me,” she commented.
At one point during the evening, Ignacio confessed how happy he was to have met Juanita. ”She’s a doll and then by talking I’ve got everything,” said the bachelor who couldn’t help but feel totally dazzled by her. For her part, the Catalan assured that what she had liked most about him had been her personality. ”She has mobility very similar to me, we both like to dance,” Juanita stressed.
After enjoying a dance in the program’s booth and a date full of complicity, the singles faced the most anticipated moment: the final decision. The two were willing to continue getting to know each other because they had felt that crush. For this reason, they both left the program hand in hand, but before leaving, they put the finishing touch to a great date with a beautiful kiss.
