From a path that is taken after Ardèvol, we arrive after a beautiful walk through the landscapes of Solsonès to a megalithic jewel: The Dolmen de la Pera.
You have to take the Miracle road to Su, where we turn right towards Ardèvol. About 3 km away we will find the indicative sign that will make it easier for us to reach the dolmen (10 minutes on foot).
It is a funerary monument built at the end of the Neolithic and used until the Middle Bronze. Typologically, the Dolmen de la Pera is what is called a “Catalan gallery”: a box of slabs that is accessed through a corridor and the entire complex is covered by a mound.
It is located in a hidden place, fortunately away from crowds. The dolmen was excavated in 1984 by the team of archaeologist Josep Castany.
Among the funerary trousseau materials found, there were fragments belonging to bell-shaped style vessels, a copper ring, pieces of flint knives, a piece of variscite necklace and another of amber, and part of a pierced shell. The objects found at the archaeological site are exhibited in the Museu Diocesà i Comarcal de Solsona.
