60 is the new 50. We hear it over and over again, and we see it around us: we are living longer and longer and we are trying to do so as well as possible. In the stage of maturity, if health allows, we still feel that we have a long way to live, which is why we increasingly perceive old age as something further away.

From the age of 60, when we already glimpse retirement, a stage opens before us that can be wonderful: children are already adults and leading their lives, work obligations decrease, we gain time for ourselves and, in many cases, It is a time when we can recover hobbies or start thinking about pending life milestones, whether they are trips, experiences, learning that we long for…

At La Vanguardia we want to collect your senior story, your experience of a new beginning starting at 60. Have you changed your life at 60-something? Have you finally learned, at 70, to do something you’ve wanted to do all your life? Have you accomplished a personal milestone that shook you? Have you changed your partner, city, profession or way of living at 60, 70 or 80? Have you dared to travel to a faraway country? Have you started studying a language or playing an instrument? We want to hear your experience, and make your voice help other people focus on their stage of maturity.

We will review all the testimonies that come to us, we will select the most interesting ones, we will talk to their protagonist, and we will publish the story, explained journalistically, in La Vanguardia (Longevity channel). We look forward to your emails!
