Online reviews can be harmful to some restaurants for completely fair reasons, such as treatment of customers or spoiled food. However, on many occasions consumers tend to exaggerate or directly criticize the establishment’s modus operandi.

This is the case of a client who intended to visit a roadside bar a little over a week ago. To his surprise, the establishment was closed both times, which is why the client felt empowered to launch harsh criticism.

Soycamarero’s X (formerly Twitter) account has shared an image of the review that has gone viral on social media. “People’s empathy ????” he points out in the tweet, where he attaches several screenshots of the review.

“I stopped this morning, it was closed, it’s normal, but this morning when I go to have coffee and eat something, I find that it’s still closed, it puts a sign on the door ‘closed for the worker’s holiday’ and it also says that on Sundays and holidays it is closed for staff rest. If the staff already has Sunday to rest, I think less rest and more service,” says the review, which also left a score of 1/5 stars.

“The only holiday we close is Worker’s Day (…) less labor exploitation and a little bit of quality of life… we consider that we work a lot and give a good service from 6 in the morning until 11 in the morning night” responded the owner of the establishment without mincing words.
