The weather forecast for Thanksgiving Day in Southern California is looking mild and pleasant. After a couple of storms brought rain and snow to the state, San Diego managed to stay dry and will continue to remain so in the coming days.
While Mammoth Mountain received nearly three feet of snow in the last three days, making it the snowiest November in 14 years, Big Bear Mountain Resort has only seen four inches of snow so far this season. However, this is still an improvement from last November.
The weather for Wednesday is expected to be clear and dry, with a gradual warming trend leading up to Thanksgiving. Some areas, such as La Jolla to Del Mar, reported dense fog in the afternoon, which may expand along the coast and valleys later in the evening. Fortunately, offshore winds are expected to push out the fog by Thursday morning.
Temperatures for Thanksgiving afternoon will range from the upper 60s to low 70s along the coast, low-to-mid 70s in the valleys, mid-to-upper 50s in the mountains, and mid 70s in the deserts.
Overall, it seems like a great day for Thanksgiving celebrations with clear skies and dry weather. Make sure to keep an eye out for any fog in coastal areas overnight and enjoy the pleasant temperatures throughout the day.
