J Bambii, also known as Jasmine Barber, has been making waves in Chicago’s artistic scene for years. Starting out with spoken-word poetry in high school, she quickly found her passion and began honing her craft at a young age. Her upcoming debut album, Black American Beauty, showcases her poetic roots and emotional depth through vivid metaphors and real-life experiences.
In addition to her music, Barber has been busy this year with various projects. She has a DJ residency at California Clipper and continues to organize monthly parties on the south side of Chicago. She also recently released her second short film, Church Fan, which serves as a music video for one of the singles from her upcoming album.
At an upcoming show at Sleeping Village, J Bambii will be performing songs from Black American Beauty. Joining her on stage will be Ohio artists Pink Siifu and Sista Salem, as well as hometown artists Dialect Tre and Such N Such. This promises to be a night filled with amazing music and talent.
So mark your calendars for this show on Saturday, November 23rd at 8:30 PM at Sleeping Village. Tickets are $22.66 and the event is 21+.
