This week in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the weather is looking brighter after a stretch of cloudy and windy conditions. A front that passed through on Wednesday is now moving farther south and east, allowing for more sunshine and less wind to return on Sunday. There may still be some cloudiness and passing showers, but overall, we can expect typical highs in the mid 80s with plenty of dry time.

Beach conditions will also improve today with lighter winds, although it will still be breezy. Surf heights could reach up to 1-2 feet with a water temperature near 80F. As we head into the new work week, high pressure will be in control, keeping things quiet. There may be some fly-by showers, especially in the first half of the week as the breeze relaxes.

Looking ahead to next weekend, a weak front could bring comfortable conditions with seasonable temperatures and moderate humidity levels. In the tropics, Tropical Depression Nadine is expected to dissipate soon, bringing heavy rain to parts of southern Mexico. Hurricane Oscar, which formed on Saturday, has made landfall on Great Inagua Island and is set to reach eastern Cuba as a hurricane before gradually weakening throughout the week. Hurricane and Tropical Storm alerts are in effect for Turks and Caicos, parts of Cuba, and the Bahamas.
