A New Hampshire teenager recently made headlines when he bravely jumped onto an out-of-control boat to prevent a potential disaster on Lake Winnipesaukee. The incident occurred when the boat’s sailing instructor fell overboard while teaching kids how to sail.

Brady Procon, 17, sprang into action after his father alerted him to the runaway boat speeding in circles in Smith’s Cove. The boat, which belonged to a local sailing association, had its instructor knocked overboard when a student’s boat tipped over and hit the throttle, causing it to spin uncontrollably.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as bystanders helped the children stay clear of the dangerous boat. Procon, showing incredible courage, jumped onto the back of a jet ski and maneuvered close to the runaway vessel. Video footage captured the moment when he leaped onto the boat and brought it to a stop.

In an interview with WMUR-TV, Procon admitted that he didn’t have much time to think before making the daring move. Despite feeling a bit scared afterward, he described the experience as fun and stated that he would do it again if needed.

Lake Winnipesaukee, known for being the largest lake in New Hampshire, is nestled in the picturesque setting of the White Mountains. The lake attracts numerous visitors each year for various recreational activities, including sailing and boating.

The quick thinking and bravery displayed by Brady Procon not only saved the day but also served as a reminder of the importance of being prepared to act in emergency situations. His heroic actions have garnered praise from the local community and beyond, highlighting the positive impact individuals can have in times of crisis.

As summer approaches and more people head out to enjoy the waters, it’s crucial to prioritize safety and be vigilant while engaging in water activities. Procon’s story serves as a powerful example of how one person’s actions can make a significant difference and prevent potential accidents.
