The Oscars had a pretty light-hearted opening, with a musical entrance by Justin Timberlake and some political mentions scattered here and there in the opening monologue, of course.
“Let’s just get something straight off the top, I can’t do that,” Jimmy Kimmel said about attempting a speech on uniting the country. He then proceeded to get into a tiff with Matt Damon. Viewers couldn’t get enough.
Many might not be surprised about the back-and-forth in the opening. The feud could date back to 2005 when Kimmel jokingly bumped Damon from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” due to lack of time.
And it’s escalated from there. And quite obviously, the end of this feud is not near.
