“Abbey Road” – the last studio album from The Beatles has returned to first place on the list of most sold albums in the Uk, 50 years after the first time was at the top of the charts.
“The Fab Four” have genindtaget first place with an expanded anniversary edition of the album.

– It is hard to believe that the “Abbey Road” still holds after so many years, writes Paul McCartney, one of the band members, on Friday on Twitter and add.
– But then again – it is a damn cool album.

The original “Abbey Road” includes 17 tracks, including George Harrison’s “Something” and “Here Comes The Sun”, Ringo Starrs “Octopus’s Garden”, John Lennon’s “Come Together” and the closing medley of several unfinished songs, which were mainly written by Paul McCartney.
Beatles fans flocked to Abbey Road on the 50th anniversary of the release of the plate – 26. september.
Back in 1969 had John Lennon privately announced six days before the release, that he was about to leave the band.
