Tuesday has been the so far the worst day for Sydney and the australian state of New South Wales, as regards the smoke from the many active fires in the state.

Local describes according to the BBC the situation as ‘apocalyptic’ and ‘insane’, while others experience breathing problems and describes, to the ‘stifled’ in the smoke.

the Smoke not only creates an unhealthy air pollution, it has also spoiled the views from the city’s otherwise iconic waterfront with the Opera house.

the Smoke has even got the smoke detectors to go by, writes news agency AFP.

The nearest fires are only an hour away from the megapolis, where large parts of the population are beginning to go with the masks.

In day-care centres and schools are also starting to keep the children inside during breaks and spisefrikvarterer.
