– You were with in the first advent calendar ’Tinkas christmas adventure’ two years ago. How has it been to return to the role?

– The most important thing for me was that there was still something left in my character. There had to be something new to explore, or else gave it no sense. It was there fortunately, and I recorded probably about ten days. There must be something to tell, and otherwise you must stay far away.

– What do you like most about the role?

– I like the universe. Things are taken at eye level, and it’s not just silliness. The story is taken at face value, and we sat not just with a ladle and knocked loose. It can also be fine, but I think that time will do something else. You can’t get fat in this age group, if it does not have relevance.

– Is it something special to make an advent calendar?

– We have a tradition in Denmark, as one remembers from his childhood. There is something cozy about being in an advent calendar and throughout the dagsføljeton. I get stopped on the street by the children who ask why I was not yesterday, and therefore I answer: ‘I don’t know’. I’ve only read my own stuff when I’m doing shows, so I play the best. It is a bonus, now when I sit and see the series.

– What is the difference between making things for children and adults?

– It is still a story that must be told, but things will probably game a little clearer. Things are allowed to be lifted up, but it should not be so strange to not know what is going on. The challenge is that it must not be too informative. It can be yawning boring.

– What should you make for christmas?

– It will be just with the family. My son is two and a half years, so we probably started a little earlier, so it doesn’t become too crazy. We are trying to get some rest in, even though it is hard. But it is nice to see the advent calendar with my son. The concentration smoking good enough quickly, and it is not because he actually runs to the television when he sees me. He is clearly already used to the fact that the father is in the tv.

– What are you otherwise doing?

– Once all this christmas and new year is over, I start on two performances. We are doing a reconfiguration at the Theater Grob, called ’In the dust from the rain’. In addition, we are starting tests on a show at Folketeateret. So January will be a little crazy, and I’m trying to gather strength. There is much logistics that need to go up, when you are in two places.

– A good story, and it was fun to go back 30 years. It was both relevant to young people and their parents.

– I was five years old and did not understand why there were not goblins. But it was absolutely brilliant to tease the whole concept.

– A story that was to keep track of. The children probably had not jumped on it today, but I remember it. It was pissegod.
