on Friday 17. January the danes can see the Defence and the F-16 in action, when the Fighter Wing Skrydstrup celebrating that this year it is 40 years ago, that the planes were acquired.

Of the two laps will ten F-16 aircraft soar over the Danish islands with a formiddagstur in the north-west of Denmark, and an afternoon tour in the south-east of Denmark.

the Planes will fly relatively low in the 2000 foot elevation. It is equivalent to a little over 600 feet. Airliners fly at between 9000 and 13,000 meters altitude.

the F-16 planes are flying, among other things, over Aalborg at 10.35, Aarhus 10.47, Amalienborg 14.55 and Odense 15.10. You can see when planes are flying over a city near you on the two overview images.

the Day will also be marked on the Skrydstrup Air base with a demonstrationsflyvning and a simulated attack on flyvestationen with up to ten aircraft.

The 40-year-old F-16 aircraft have now been replaced by 27 new F-35 aircraft. There has been a lot of controversy in connection with the acquisition of the aircraft, since the noise at the start-up has been too intense for the neighbors at air base Skrydstrup. It has meant that there has been put around 250 million crowns of compensation.

117 neighbors have been offered to get acquired their residence, and 1500 others have been offered insulation of the living space.

The Danish F-16 aircraft

Denmark has 44 operational F-16.

The Danish F-16 have flown not less than 335.080 hours per. 12. January 2020.

the Aircraft has been inserted in the fredsskabede, in peacekeeping missions and in the fight against ISIL and providing end support to the NATO in connection with the exercising of sovereignty of the baltic airspace in the last four months of 2019.

the Plane is a so-called ”Versatile fighter”, armed with 6-barreled 20 mm Gatling cannon, bombs and missiles, produced by Lockheed Martin, the UNITED states.
