The Los Angeles Clippers won their first ever conference finals victory.

It took only 50 years.

The Clippers never reached the conference finals before the 2021 NBA Playoffs. The team, then known as the Buffalo Braves was eliminated three times in the Eastern Conference semifinals. They were eliminated in the Eastern Conference semifinals by the San Diego Clippers, and they never made it to the playoffs again.

This month, everything changed. It was a 0-2 loss for the Clippers going into Game 3 against Phoenix Suns, but Reggie Jackson and Paul George were able turn their fortunes around.

George was the leader with 27 points. He also scored a buzzer-beater three-pointer to close out the third quarter.

He also had eight assists and 15 rebounds.

Los Angeles scored 23 points by Jackson on 9-of-17 field shooting.

The Suns appeared out of sync.

Devin Booker was wearing a mask because he had suffered a broken nose in Game 2. He was miserable 5-for-21 and ended up with 15 points.

Chris Paul returned to the game after missing the first two due to the league’s safety and health protocol. He was 5-for-19 with fifteen points. He also had 12 assists and three steals.

Mikal Bridges scored 13 points, while Cam Johnson scored 12 off the bench.

Each of the Clippers’ playoff series has been started down two games, but they have returned to win them all.

Game 4 will take place in Los Angeles Saturday night at 9 PM. ET
